Unlike women, ageing affects men more gradually. A woman’s chance of conception declines rapidly after the age of 35 and then even more so after the age of 40. As for men, they can be fertile in their 50s and beyond. However, as men grow older, the chance of sperm abnormality does increase. Even though to a lesser extent than a woman, a man’s age and fertility are still closely related.
